At Open Source Instruments, we offer electrical engineering consulting to help you optimize your electrical systems with precision and efficiency.
We offer circuit design services that include the entire process of circuit creation. Our capabilities include custom circuit design of analog circuits, digital circuits, mixed-signal circuits, radio frequency circuits. We generate printed circuit boards in the open-source KiCad layout software. We build and test prototypes. We can manufacture large numbers of devices with quality assurance and quality control.
We are experts at hand-soldering surface mount and through-hole components of all sizes. Although we make use of electronic assembly houses whenever we can, we are able to assemble all our prototypes in house.
We design enclosure for electronic assemblies, working in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Onshape. We design tooling for testing and quality control during instrument manufacture.
Our technicians are trained in a wide range of assembly techniques and are capable of assembling optical, electronic, and mechanical devices with precision and vigilance.
In concert with any instrument development we provide for our customers, we will write all code necessary to read out the instrument and process the data it produces.
